INSURANCE LAW
Insurance buys peace of mind, but its true value becomes clear only when an incident occurs. A refusal to pay out, a considerably reduced amount or a dispute over whether the incident is an insured event at all often depends on a single contractual clause or a single piece of evidence.
We represent policyholders, beneficiaries and injured parties, and also advise businesses for which insurance forms part of their risk management. We pay particular attention to directors' and officers' liability insurance – it is directly linked to the directors' liability and insolvency cases in which the partnership regularly acts.

How we work
First, we thoroughly analyse the insurance contract, the insurance rules and the reasons for the insurer's decision – it is often precisely in the wording of the terms or in procedural breaches that the arguments for obtaining a payout lie. We assess whether the dispute is best resolved through negotiation, before the Bank of Lithuania or in court, and where necessary we engage independent experts to assess the loss.
The time limits for notifying an insured event and submitting claims are often short – consult an attorney before signing a settlement or a damage report proposed by the insurer.
